Directorate General of Mineral and Coal

Directorate General of Mineral and Coal is under the authority of and responsible to the Minister. A Director General leads the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal .

Duties and Functions

Directorate General of Mineral and Coal is responsible for formulating and implementing policies in the field of development, controlling, and supervision for any activities on Mineral and Coal. In performing those duties, Directorate General of Mineral and Coal has the following functions:

  1. formulating policy in the field of development, controlling, and supervision for any activities of business, engineering, occupational safety, environment, as well as the construction of certain facilities and infrastructures and also nontaxable revenue on mineral and coal sector in accordance with laws and regulation;
  2. implementing policy in the field of development, controlling, and supervision for any activities of business, engineering, occupational safety, environment, as well as the construction of certain facilities and infrastructures and also nontaxable revenue on mineral and coal sector in accordance with laws and regulation;
  3. formulating norms, standards, procedures, and criteria in the field of development, controlling, and supervision for any activities of business, engineering, occupational safety, environment, as well as the construction of certain facilities and infrastructures and also nontaxable revenue on mineral and coal sector in accordance with laws and regulation;
  4. providing technical guidance and supervision in the field of development, controlling, and supervision for any activities of business, engineering, occupational safety, environment, as well as the construction of certain facilities and infrastructures and also nontaxable revenue on mineral and coal sector in accordance with laws and regulation;
  5. giving evaluation and report in the field of development, controlling, and supervision for any activities of business, engineering, occupational safety, environment, as well as the construction of certain facilities and infrastructures and also nontaxable revenue on mineral and coal sector in accordance with laws and regulation;
  6. managing the administration of Directorate General of Mineral and Coal performing other functions assigned by the Minister.

Organizational Structure

Directorate General of Mineral and Coal consists of:

  1. Secretariat of Directorate General of Mineral and Coal ;
  2. Directorate of Mineral and Coal Program Development;
  3. Directorate of Mineral Business Development;
  4. Directorate of Coal Business Development;
  5. Directorate of Mineral and Coal Revenue;
  6. Directorate of Mineral and Coal Engineering and Environment.
