After becoming one of the winner in PLN Inovation Work 2008, ”Paket Siaga” which is an integrated device of “Automatic System of GSM Alarm” have been tested in Pasuruan District and surroundings, where this device was created.
The creators of this device are Agus Supyotono, Hari Santoso and Ujang Subagja from PLN APJ Pasuruan. According to the creators, this device is efficient in detecting electricity stealing because this device is capable in recording all activities which relates to electrical substation.
The complete functions of this device is capable of detecting movement which happen inside electricity substation and friction in the APP’s door, recording all events inside the electricity substation if movement detection happens and giving information to the worker via Sort Message System (SMS) and tone call.
By installing this device, PLN will receive three advantages which are investigation and arrested process of illegal electricity usage can be accelerated, pressure operational fee of P2TL because there is no direct observation process by the worker and simplify verification in follow-up bill directly to the consumers or via jurisdiction process.
As soon as someone opens APP, the phone cell owned by the workers ring to let the worker know that someone has opened the box and the worker can detect to the APP installed in that device.
“Paket Siaga” and some innovation works of PLN is planned to be patented and going to be produced in large numbers to help workers in handling technique problems happened in the work field. (AK)
