JAKARTA. State electricity company, PT PLN has targeted that all distribution relay stations which was hit by the 7.6 richter quake will be operable within the next 4-5 days.  However, due to the large extent of damage to the power network, not all buildings and houses are expected to be fully powered.  Due to this condition, PLN has provided 134 mobile distribution transformers.

Electricity condition in Padang and Pariaman have shown a massive improvement.  As of 20.00 on October 4, 2009, all feeders in Padang is operable and with 81,8% of relay stations powered.  The city of Pariaman with its 5 feeders and 288 distribution relay stations is 100% operable, meanwhile status of the whole regency of Pariaman is at 60%.

To meet their target, PLN has brought more technicians, totaling 333 personnel.  This amount consists of 93 local staff plus 240 personnel from other PLN units.  This number is set to increase with other units arriving.

Support vehicles in Padang – Pariaman consists of 6 operation vehicles, 10 cranes, 21 trucks, meanwhile support from other PLN units include 41 operation vehicles and 4 cranes.
