Ministerial Decree No.2 / 2010 regulates that the power plant projects which are soon to be built will operate on renewable energy, coal, and gas. A total of 21 power plants will be built by PT PLN, meanwhile a remaining 72 shall be built by a joint collaboration between PT PLN and private companies. This Ministerial Decree is valid from January 27, 2010 up to December 31, 2014.
The following is a list of power plants forming the Second Phase 10.000 MW Acceleration Program, as stated in the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources decree:

The 10.000 MW Acceleration Program is part of the government’s effort to provide future national energy reserve to handle an annual growth rate of 6,8%. The Presidential decree have regulated that this program is funded through the national budget, PT PLN, and other legal forms of funding which is regulated under relevant laws.
