The Government Prepares PLTA 2030 MW

JAKARTA. The government prepares the development of Hydro Power Plant (PLTA) in capacity 2030 MW in two locations; PLTA Upper Cisokan, West Java, and Simpang Alur, south part of Sumatera in capacity each 2x1000 MW and 1x30 MW. These projects are included in the Fast Track Program 10.000 MW Stage II and also are the master plan of Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI).

While for Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) is planed 43 generators in capacity 3967 MW, based on Minister of EMR’s Regulation (Permen ESDM) Number 15/2010.

Forty three (43) generators spread from Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) to North Maluku. PLTP which is planned to develop in Sumatera are PLTP Seulawah Agam and Jaboi in NAD in capacity each 1x55 MW and 1x7 MW. In other area in North Sumatera are PLTP Sarulla 1 (3x110 MW), Sarulla 2 (2x55 MW), and Sorik Merapi (1x55 MW). While, for West Sumatera are PLTP Muaralaboh (2x110 MW), South Sumatera PLTP Mulut Balai and Rantau Dadap in capacity each 4x55 MW and 2x110 MW, then PLTP Sungai Penuh in Jambi in planned capacity 2x55 MW, besides, PLTP Hululais in Bengkulu (2x55 MW), PLTP Rajabasa in Lampung (2x110 MW), Ulubelu 3 and 4 (2x55 MW).

While for Java, divided each in West Java: PLTP Rawa Dano, Banten (1x110 MW), PLTP Tangkuban Perahun I (2x55 MW), PLTP Kamojang 5 and 6 in capacity each 1x40 MW and 1x60 MW, PLTP Cibuni (1x10 MW), PLTP Cisolok -Sukarame (1x50 MW), PLTP Darajat (2x55 MW), PLTP Karaha Bodas, in capacity each 1x30 MW and 2x55 MW, PLTP Patuha (3x60 MW), PLTP Salak (1x40 MW), PLTP Tanpomas (1x45 MW), PLTP Tangkuban Perahu II (2x30 MW), PLTP Wayang Windu (2x120 MW). In Central Java Province: PLTP Batu Raden (2x110 MW), PLTP Dieng in capacity each 1x55 MW and 1x60 MW, PLTP Guci (1x55 MW), and PLTP Ungaran (1x55 MW). Not only in West Java and Central Jav, PLTP is also developed in East Java: PLTP Ijen (2x55 MW), Iyang Argopuro (1x55 MW) and also PLTP Wilis/Ngebel (3x55 MW).

Outside Java, PLTP will be developed in North Sulawesi: PLTP Lahendong 5 and 6 (2x20 MW), Kotamobagu 1 and 2 (2x20 MW) and also Kotamobagu 3 and 4 (2x20 MW). While in Central Sulawesi: PLTP Bora (1x5 MW), PLTP Merana/Masaingi (2x10 MW). Other province are Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB): PLTP Huu (2x10 MW), PLTP Sembalun (2x10 MW), PLTP Atadei (2x2,5 MW) and PLTP Sukoria (2x2,5 MW), Nusa Tenggara Timur: (NTT), PLTP Tulehu (2x10 MW) in Maluku and PLTP Jailolo and also Songa Wyaua in North Maluku in capacity each 2x5 and 1x5 MW.
