JAKARTA – Minister of EMR, Jero Wacik stated that if the proposal of Power Tariff (TTL) adjustment for 2013 agreed by DPR (House of Representative), then there would be 2, 9 million households in Indonesia electrified.
“If DPR agreed the TTL next year, there will be approximately 2, 9 million PLN consumers electrified,” said Jero Wacik in Working Meeting with Comission VII DPR, in Jakarta on Monday (17/9/2012).
He stated that most of those 2, 9 million consumer candidates are classified into R1 and R2 type. “There are more than 1, 3 million consumers of R1/450 VA and more than 1, 07 million are PLN consumers of R1/900 VA,” he said.
With no TTL increase, PLN will be hard to invest, including service and power electrification improvement. By 2013, PLN targeted for 3, 18 million consumers, of which 2, 9 million are household sector. The remaining numbers are business, industry, and government sectors.
According to him, if the proposal agreed, the Government would manage the mechanism of TTL adjustment next year: whether will be directly 15%, gradually per three semester for 4, 3% or per month for 1, 6%.
“The increase won’t be burdened because the increase of 1, 6% per month is less than the cost of token purchase,” said the minister. (AK)
