During their visit to New Delhi on Monday (7/9), the Indonesian delegation led by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Purnomo Yusgiantoro held a meeting with several Indian CEOs who have operated or stated their intention of cooperating with the Indonesian government.

The meeting was held at the office of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), led directly by the chairman of FICCI with several noted participants including CEO of Tata Comp, CEO of WIPRO, and CEO of Bharat Earth Movers Limited.

The meeting was opened by a welcoming speech from CEO and Director of GMR Energy Ltd, Raaj Kumar, followed by keynote speeches from Indonesian Ambassador for India, Andi M. Ghalib and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Purnomo Yusgiantoro. The main agenda of the meeting itself is the presentation and discussion on energy and mineral opportunities and business to business meeting which was attended by Indian and Indonesian companies. The event was concluded by the advisor to FICCI, Rajan Kohli.

Prior to the meeting at FICCI, the Minister and delegation was invited to an interview by Reuters at its New Delhi office for two hours. During the course of the interview, Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro explains the nature of his trip and Indonesian investment opportunities in the energy and mineral sector.
