BANGLI. Minister of EMR, Jero Wacik together with the Village Head of Belantih, Made Wardana opened the clean water tap from the drilling well utilizing ground water in Belantih Village, Kintamani Sub-District, Bangil District, Bali Province (12/5/2012). There were some officials accompanying the minister, such as The Head of Geological Agency, R. Sukhyar, Regional Secretary of Bali Province, I Made Jendra, The Vice Regent of Bangli District, Sang Nyoman Sedana Arta, officials of Ministry of EMR, officials of Bali Province and Regional Government of Bangli District, Saturday (12/5/2012).
The opening of this water tap was also becoming the symbolization of the inauguration of Ground Water Utilization from the Drilling Well all over Bali Province, which is one of manifestation of infrastructure development program and the economy development of rural citizens implemented by Ministry of EMR together with stakeholders.
“The clean water supply through deep well drilling all over lack-water areas in Indonesia is one of priority program of Ministry of EMR through Geological Agency,” said Jero Wacik in his speech in front of Belantih Village citizens.
Jero Wacik remarked that in all over Indonesia has drilled 676 drilling well to supply drinking water for lack of-clean water citizens and this year will be added for 200 drilling wells.
“For Regional heads, please do report if there is any lack-clean water areas. We will survey and if there is any water resource underground, then we will try to help,” he said.
Waryono Karno, Secretary General of MEMR also reported that during the period of United Indonesia Cabinet (KIB) I and KIB II, the clean water supply program has provided clean water in 9 locations spreading in 6 districts in Bali Province. “For the year of 2012, there will be water drilling in 7 locations,” continued Waryono.
