JAKARTA. The Working Meeting of “Discussion of Subsidized BBM Restriction 2012” between the government and commission VII DPR RI in Jakarta, Monday (30/01/2012), the government is committed to perform the mandate of Law State Budget 2012, in which the control of BBM subsidy budget is done by two policies; allocation subsidized BBM to make it right on target and policy of controlling the consumption of subsidized BBM.
It was stated by Minister of EMR in Working Meeting, which was also accompanied by Vice Minister of EMR Widjajono Partowidagdo, Director General of Oil and Gas, Evita H. Legowo, Director General of Electricity, Jarman.
Minister of EMR stated that to control the consumption of subsidized BBM 2012, start by April 2012, governmental service vehicles, BUMN, and BUMD obligate not to consume premium. “Besides, the control is done by restricting subsidized premium for private vehicles in Jabodetabek,” says Minister.
Minister of EMR has also asked BPH Migas to intensify the role of Coordinating Team for Supply Miss use Prevention and BBM Distribution (TKP4BBM). Besides, the Minister stated that infrastructure of non-subsidized BBM will be improved step by step, supported by socialization improvement.
Minister of EMR affirmed that the policy of BBM to BBG diversification has to keep on going, “It is very good for long term to increase energy security because BBM price is more expensive while gas is more available in Indonesia,” says minister.
Recently, continued minister, BBG options are CNG and LGV, in which step by step services vehicles of MEMR has been converted to BBG. “Mainly, CNG is for public transportation in areas having adequate gas resources and infrastructure, while LGV is mainly to public transportation in areas not having CNG, executive public transportation and also private vehicles,” explains the minister.
For CNG in Jakarta, Banten, and West Java has been available gas 26, 1 MMSCFD, while in East Java is 6, 7 MMSCFD. “For LGV in Java-Bali 2012 will be needed about 681 million metric ton per day,” says minister. (AK)
