JAKARTA. To hasten the construction of 295 SPBU Pertamax in Java-Bali, the government would give soft loan for Rp 500 billion.

The mechanism of the soft loan, according to the Director General of Oil and Gas Evita H. Legowo is being processed by Ministry of Finance. The budget of Rp 500 billion comes from APBN-P 2012.

Based on the data of Ministry of EMR, for Jabodetabek still need 41 SPBU Pertamax, West Java and Banten 148 units, Central Java and Yogyakarta 66 units and also East Java and Bali 40 units. The total SPBU Pertamax for Java-Bali has been available is 2080 SPBU and 687 SPBU in switching process.

The acceleration of SPBU Pertamax construction is part of controlling plan for subsidized BBM consumption by April 1st. To the future, the owner of four-wheeled vehicles may not consume subsidized BBM. They have to consume non-subsidized BBM such as Pertamax or convert to use LGV. For public transportation would be converted to CNG. (AK)
