JAKARTA – Subsidized BBM quota in some regions is predicted to run out before December. So, the Government will propose the additional quota to the House of Representatives for 4 million KL. Related to the plan, Director General of Oil and Gas, Evita H. Legowo, explained that the Government has sent letter to DPR to held a meeting.
“Hopefully, tomorrow (Thursday (6/9)) or Monday (10/9), we will meet Comission VII. We will explain the concern because we only have limited time,” she said.
Most of 4 million KL of subsidized BBM are premium and diesel oil. Meanwhile the kerosene quota is adequate and no need additional quota. If DPR agreed the proposal, then the additional subsidized BBM will only be given to lack of BBM-regions.
“There are some regions predicted having adequate quota. So we will see which one is lack because we will not add those which have adequate quota,” she said.
BPH Migas cooperating with PT Pertamina will check the regions, which need subsidized BBM addition. (AK)
