SEMINAR & EXHIBITION INDO SOLAR – WIND 2011
May 11th – 12th, 2011

 1. The Seminar & Exhibition Indo Solar – Wind 2011 is the initiative of Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (DJEBTKE) in supporting the acceleration of solar and wind energy development in Indonesia. This event is also in order to socialize the policy of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) in solar and wind energy sector and also as routine meeting media in bridging stakeholders, solar and wind energy developers, supporting services, experts, academics and also practitioners of solar and wind energy.

2.    The theme of the first Seminar & Exhibition Indo Solar – Wind 2011 is “Peran Energi Surya dan Energi Angin Dalam Mendukung Visi 25/25 dan Kemandirian Energi” ( The Role of Solar and Wind Energy in Supporting Vision 25/25 and Energy Independence). The event consists of below:
a.    Seminar concerning solar and wind energy policies;
b.    Interactive discussion followed by all participants;
c.    Solar and wind energy exhibition which involve core and supporting business and also professional association in solar and wind energy sectors.

3.    The Seminar & Exhibition Indo Solar – Wind 2011 is attended by about 300 invitations, consisting of both province and district Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) Agencies, stakeholders, solar and wind energy developers, supporting services, experts, academics, practitioners of solar and wind energy and also featuring speakers of Government, BUMN (State-Owned Enterprise), Practitioners, and Associations.

4.    As we know that, solar and wind energy is renewable energy being developed by Indonesian Government because our country has a very big solar and wind energy potential whose locations spread all over Indonesia.

5.    Solar and wind energy utilization is not only to support national energy needs fulfillment, but also is very suitable to be implemented in an area not reached by PLN electricity, and citizens concentrated in a place which is near one another.

6.    The government very concerns in supporting provision and new renewable energy utilization as mandated in Presidential Regulation Number 5 Year 2006, concerning National Energy Policy, in which the government targeted the renewable energy share is about 17 % by 2025. Recently, has been developed an initiative to reach a higher renewable energy share in national energy mix, which is 25 % by 2025, or known as “Visi Energi 25/25”. Visi Energi 25/25 emphasizes on two (2) important things; “energy conservation” in utilization side to suppress the rate of national energy use, and “energy diversification “ in supply side by prioritizing renewable energy.

7.    By Visi Energi 25/25 is hoped that solar and wind energy could contribute 0, 6 % or equivalent to 16, 3 million SBM by 2025.

8.    By the Seminar & Exhibition Indo Solar – Wind 2011, is hoped to be able to accelerate the implementation of renewable energy utilization made of solar and wind energy in achieving the target of national energy mix based on Vision 25/25.
