The People Welfare, Downstreaming of All Policies “Energy of Fairness”

JAKARTA - A Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) confirmed that all policies 'Energy of Fairness' which has been established by the Ministry of EMR solely to improve the welfare of all Indonesian people.

"As the President's mandate that the energy resources are later transferred into electricity, fuel and others are attempted to improve the people welfare," said Jonan when visit to Bisnis Indonesia Office, Monday (3/4).

Jonan also assess every policy issued by the Ministry of EMR should encourage the equitable development as government efforts to press the economic turmoil. "It's different an approach. We ourselves want to make that business angle so that equalization should be run," he said in the presence of the chief editor of Business Indonesia.

One of concrete examples is the decree of fuel prices such as RON 88, diesel, kerosene and LPG that not increase per April 1. "This oil fuel is controlled by the Government does not change until June 30 (2017)," he said when delivering the Government's efforts to regulate fairness policies for the people.

Not only that, the Government also established that there is no increasing a price for household electric customers of 450 VA. "You know, electricity is also not increase," he said.

Two points above, Johan explained, represented the Government's policy in favor of all walks of life. These are the important for Jonan' mark as a leader to continue overseeing the policy on the energy and mineral sector as mandated by the President Joko Widodo. (NA)
