EMR National Post for Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018 Ended, Energy Supply is Secure

JAKARTA - The National Post for Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) sector in Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018 that established since December 18, 2017 has officially ended the task. The member of the BPH Migas Committee, M. Ibnu Fajar in a press statement delivered this afternoon, Monday (8/1) said that the post headed by the Head of BPH Migas was formed to secure the Christmas Day 2017 and New Year 2018 in the EMR sector.

On the occasion, Ibnu revealed that the implementation of EMR post has been going well in general. "Until to the last day of EMR National Post, there is no significant obstacles in the EMR Sector felt by the society," said Ibnu.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources with BPH Migas, PT Pertamina (Persero), and PT. AKR Corporindo have also monitored at the Petroleum Fuel Terminal (TBBM), several suppliers of SPBU, Ferry Terminal (ASDP), jammed-prone toll roads and regular roads that could potentially shortage of fuel supply to monitor in 3T (Frontier, Outermost and Remote Area). The goal is to ensure the condition of Fuel supply and distribution (BBM) smoothly and safely controlled.

Field monitoring was conducted in 25 locations / locations / points spread in North Sumatera, West Sumatera, Banten, West Java, Central Java, DIY, East Java, Bali, NTT, North Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua and West Papua provinces 3T located in East Java, Central Java, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, North Maluku, Papua and West Papua.

"This is more focused on areas where people are celebrating Christmas Day, as well as centers of crowds and tours," said Ibnu.

The results of monitoring during post activities take place, the supply of fuel run normally. Several anticipatory measures at the congestion points have also been made by providing 24 hour service at channeling agencies in jam prone areas. These services include the manufacture of 39 fuel stations, 9 units of operators dispensers placed in rest areas and other areas, the provision of a number of 15 kiosks Pertamax in packaging, Pertamax Motor Preparation of 17 units, and always coordinate with the parties and relevant agencies.

To January 7, 2018, national fuel operational reserves for gasoline types 25.8 days; diesel fuel 24.5 days; kerosene 53.5 days and Avtur 27.6 days. While for daily reserves of LPG is at number 17,2 day.

During the period of post until the report dated to January 7, 2018, recorded the highest increase in fuel volume on Pertamax which increased by 20.34% followed by Premium 12.5%. Avtur distribution is also increasing although not too big that is 0.83%.

While other types of fuel the amount of distribution even decreased. Solar decreased by 25.27%, Pertamina Dex fell by 12.73%, Dexlite fell 34.42%, Pertalite down 0.09%. Kerosene distribution also decreased quite a lot of 29.15%.

However, compared to 2016, the distribution of Premium and Solar Fuel decreased (Premium decreased 27.01%, Solar fell 7.64%), while Pertamite, Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo fuel increased (Pertalite increased by 45.67%; Pertamax increased by 14.5%; Pertamax Turbo increased 52.22%).

In addition, LPG also recorded an increase in demand of 236 Metric Ton (MT) per day or up 1.01% compared to normal day. The highest demand for LPG products occurred on December 28, 2017 amounted to 25,226 MT with an increase of 9% from the normal average of 23,160 MT. While the constraints that occur is the scarcity of 3KG LPG in some areas Padang Lawas Regency, West Sumatra and Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatera (December 27, 2017), Pekanbaru City, Riau (December 29, 2017), Temanggung Regency (January 3, 2018). To overcome this condition, we have conducted 3KG LPK tube market operations on 18, 19, 20, 21, 26 and 27 December 2017 in some areas, namely Riau, Jambi, Bengkulu, South Sumatera, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan with the allocation of 28,250 tubes and 22,486 absorbed tubes.

Not only fuel and LPG, the national electricity system during the post is also safe. The national peak load during the peak period of Christmas Day 2017 and New Year 2018 is under National Capability. The highest national peak load occurred on 5 January 2018 of 33.269 MW and the lowest national peak load occurred on January 1, 2018 of 21.326 MW.

During the post, the monitoring is done continuously for Mount Sinabung in North Sumatera and Gunung Agung in Bali with the level VI activity (Awas). In addition to those mountains, 18 other volcanoes also received the attention and monitoring due to the status of Waspada, namely M. Ili Lewotolok, M. Banda Api, M. Dempo, M. Bromo, M. Rinjani, M. Lokon, M. Soputan, M. Karangetang, M. Gamalama, M. Sangeangapi, M. Rokatenda, M. Ibu, M. Gamkonora, M. Semeru, M. Anak Krakatau, M. Marapi, M. Dukono, and M. Kerinci.
