Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources

Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources is under the authority of and responsible to the Minister. A Head of Agency leads Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources.


Duties and Functions

Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources is responsible for undertaking research and development in the field of oil and gas, electricity, mineral and coal, new, renewable energy and energy conservation, and marine geology. In performing those duties, Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources has the following functions:

1. formulating technical policy in the field of research and development on of oil and gas, electricity, mineral and coal, new, renewable energy and energy conservation, and marine geology;

2. performing duties in the field of oil and gas, electricity, mineral and coal, new, renewable energy and energy conservation, and marine geology.

3. giving supervision, evaluation and report in the field of research and development on oil and gas, electricity, mineral and coal, new, renewable energy and energy conservation, and marine geology;

4. managing the administration of Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources; and

5. performing other functions assigned by the Minister.


Organizational Structure

Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources consists of:

1. Secretariat of Research and Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources;

2. Center for Research and Development of Oil and Gas Technology "Lemigas";

3. Center for Research and Development of Electricity, New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Technology;

4. Center for Research and Development of Mineral and Coal Technology;

5. Center for Research and Development of Marine Geology
