13,305 Converter Kits for Fishermen and Farmers to be Distributed, Regional Governments' Support Requested

The support of regional governments is deemed vital for the smooth distribution of 13,305 units of oil-to-gas converter kit for fishermen in 38 regencies/municipalities and 1,000 units of the same for farmers in 5 regencies/municipalities, to be distributed by the national government in 2019.

The Directorate General of Oil and Gas invites the governments of 43 regencies/cities targeted by the Oil-to-Gas Conversion for Fishermen and Farmers program to a coordination meeting held in Malang, Wednesday (16/10).

Acting Director General of Oil and Gas Djoko Siswanto reiterates that the support of the regional government is vital for the smooth implementation of the oil-to-LPG conversion program targeted on fishermen and farmers.

This year, the conversion program is aimed at the water-pumping machines on farms, where as many as 1,000 converter kits will be distributed in 5 regencies, namely Boyolali, Sragen, Klaten, Bantul, and Malang. (NA)
